About Ed Gandia

An Entrepreneur at Age 8

Ed Gandia has been solving business problems since he was a child. Raised in an entrepreneurial family, he started a candy store business out of his garage at the tender age of 8. His first lesson in marketing and sales came his first day in business when he realized that customers won’t flock to you simply because your doors are open. After a day without a single sale, he jumped on his bicycle and sold his entire inventory door-to-door in 2 hours.

A successful, 11-year sales professional, Ed has managed several challenging sales territories for demanding sales organizations. Selling in these results-oriented environments forced him to develop and sharpen his writing skills early in his career. He quickly learned that when you have to find your own sales opportunities, knowing how to sell through the written word is just as important as selling in person or over the phone.

A Solid Track Record in Sales

Prior to launching his copywriting and consulting business, Ed was a senior account executive with Constructware, an on-demand construction software company that facilitates communication and collaboration among parties in a construction project. During his 5-year tenure at Constructware, Ed conceived and implemented a marketing and sales methodology that helped revive a software product and boost its sales by more than 500 percent.

Prior to Constructware, Ed was an account executive with CompuCom Systems, a leading integrator and IT managed services provider. While at CompuCom, Ed had responsibility for launching and growing the company’s professional IT services business in the Atlanta area.

Ed came to CompuCom from Ferguson Enterprises Inc., where he held various positions in sales and management and helped launch two of the most profitable branches for Ferguson in its southeastern region.
